About the Baker & Bakery
Inspired by the craft, process, and nourishment baked bread provides, founder Ashley, started honing in on her skills with sourdough baking as a self taught home baker. After a few years of gifting Sourdough breads and bakes to family and friends, and sharing her passion with her neighbors, she officially launched her home based microbakey, The Flourist, in January 2024.
The Flourist Sourdough micro bakery proudly specializes in small-batch sourdough bread and naturally leavened baked treats. All of the breads and sweet offerings are made with Organic, seasonal and ethically sourced ingredients, time, and love. Weekly menus are curated through a preorder website. Pickups are a “pop up/porch pickup” style from her home in Bastrop, TX.
